Year 12 Blues

I love to study. I love learning. I love books and reading and writing and school and lectures and classes and studying. I am a nerd and I am proud to be one. Year 12 however, is a whole other story. Although I love my classes, other than maths, and I love my teachers and I do still love the learning, year 12 exams are one of the most stressful times I have ever experienced. I am only a few days away from the one mid-year exam I have, and yet I have never been so stressed. My entire year level is studying like crazy. It’s insane and stressful and horrible and I would like to know why? What is the point? One year of stress, cramming, expectations and disappointments and for what? A little double digit number which only really defines your near future and nothing else? Seems like a bit of a gyp to me.

Okay, I am done ranting, and yes, I do see the point in the studying, it’s going to get me to where I want to be, into the course which I want to be in, but jeez, I would love love love to not have to think about homeostasis or immunity for just one day.
